Elia has created an application for BSPs to submit capacity bids for balancing services.
The STAR auction platform
STAR (Short-Term Auctioning of Reserves) is an application built by Elia and used by BSPs (Balance Service Providers) participating in the short-term reserve market for R1/FCR, R2/aFRR and R3/mFRR.
BSPs use this platform to submit their individual bids for every short-term auction period. These bids are submitted via B2C (graphical user interface) or B2B (XML) interfaces.
